Great work as usual Al ....I am so jealous

No need for jealousy here kev.... Im sure yours will be beautiful when its done

Stencil vids welcomed mate. Awesome work.

No worries Daz.....the stencils are the one thing I've never done on a car......so it will be a steep learning curve for me I'm sure.....but I'll give it a shot and record it for others to see and use in the future.

Those blackouts have definitely made the colour pop!! Looking forward to seeing this car get pieced back together. Have you paid much thought to how you want the interior to look yet? You may have mentioned it earlier in the thread but it's been awhile since I've checked out the forum. I will probably need to post some updates on my thread sometime soon I think. Mines not quite as interesting as the people building their own cars but definitely will involve some eye candy for torry enthusiasts 😄
Keep up the great work mate!

Hi Mark......yep its pretty bright lol......the interior will be basically stock SLR slate with grey golf ball inserts......nothing extra special.

I have all the interior all ready......new seat covers....new door trims etc so as soon as I finish the stencils on my car I'll be hooking into getting inside back together.

Nice choice, I think it will suit the car a treat! Bet you can't wait to get a start on that! What a tease having it all there ready to go! 😝

Solid effort Al but one question, how did you mask the door gaps, I would've thought you'd have to do it before you put the stencil on, or did you slice the stencil to get the doors open again before paint?

Hi Andrew....put the  stencil on then sliced between the door gaps.....then taped up behind.....there was enough stencil to go around the edge of the door to tape from behind.

How have I missed this thread, having just finished a build with about 1/10 of the quality, I can see all the work you've done above and beyond. Really really really impressed with all the fine tuning and immaculate finish.

Al, you have done an amazing job and it doesn't stop at the painting as your colour sanding efforts looks amazing too! Are you able to run through your process of how you wet sand and buff this solid single stage?
Cheers
