Haha I was thinking the same thing in regards to 'small update'. Looks like a lot of work has gone into various aspects of the car and all top quality as usual! Great to see it all coming together. Hope I can have a 'small' update on mine sometime soon haha

^^Imagine what a big update would look like... :-)

Awesome work as usual, Al. Love the tank hanger. If it's only going to be a cruiser, then the standard-bore 304 will do the job, I reckon. It will be a sweeter drive like that, too. Not as exhilarating, perhaps, but sweeter and still sound right! You'd drain that stock fuel tank too quick as well, with a ground shaking motor.

Thanks for the input fella's......I was kinda thinking the same thing......I want it drivable and nice so I think you've convinced me to go the 304 direction.

Will be sending her in next week as soon as my new flywheel arrives so it can be machined and balanced.

Cheers

Al

What I like best, is your positive attitude to all and sundry that have commented. We are all on here because we love our Toranas, no matter what they are? Credit to you. You are creating a quality car

Thanks Slar, I have rebuild a couple of cars but not to this magnitude, and I will try and make it an enjoyable uphill battle. I looked at my last post on this thread and It might have seemed a bit one eyed, I love all different toranas and as well all different cars, it would be boring if we were all the same, but I still like to put over my opinion for what its worth which probably isn't much.

Meh, having a strong personal opinion is fine, so long as when a car you would think you would hate pops up thats well executed you can still take your hat off, all good.

Im in the way lazy boat here, I"ve had less to do to my car for the last 12 months, and have done far less.... So hat off to OP.

Your right Bomber you do have to give credit when credit is due, even though your personal opinion might not agree. I will keep expressing my opinion hope people aren't to sensitive.

You can't knock something you haven't tried, fellas. Ha ha. If anyone was to be offended in your post Mox, it may have been me - but I'm not! Freedom of speech is being able to argue with each other with respect, all for it.

Al, can you tell me how you clean up all the steel lines under the car like the fuel and brake lines. Are they the old ones cleaned up or did you make new ones.

Awesome build mate.

Hi Ruts.......I made all new ones........just copied the originals .

Tried cleaning up the old ones but the zinc coating was gone and most of the pipe was pitted and rusted.

Was tricky but doable.
