That extractor laying on the ground is interesting. Could it be a v8 shell?

It doesn't look like a SS, so the tags have no value. They are probably laying in the car somewhere.

If possible ask someone to rummage thru the inside & locate them. The difference could be $1000+ for 5 mins work. :)

It would also help if all the contents were removed from inside the shell & laid out on the ground for a photo. (might find the tags at the same time) :)

Nobody here wants to see you ripped off Nikki. Don't sell something for $1000 when it could be worth $10,000. :)

Thanks guys for all your help. Have had some really great offers and some really stupid ones maybe it's because I'm a girl who knows. But the ones that are interested and know there stuff told me there would be a lot of douche bags out there.

Yes there are douches

But the ones quoting the larger figures probably don't have any money anyway

Or aren't real buyers

So price only becomes relevant when someone opens their wallet

I'd say $3k tops by the pics

Its alot of work with what looks like lots of missing parts and body work needing doing

Have had some really great offers and some really stupid ones maybe it's because I'm a girl who knows.

And it could be a rust bucket, hatch back Toranas have alot of rust you can't see making the shell virtually worthless to repair.

IMO anything over $1000 for a rusted shell would be a win, if it's a factory V8 with matching tags you can add $1000.

But the ones that are interested and know there stuff told me there would be a lot of douche bags out there.

If they are interested and know their stuff then lets here their values.

FWIW just because someone is in a club or claims to be affiliated somehow does not make them worthy of calling people douche bags.

I was on the hunt some time ago and travelled 300klms to view a car that a club had valued at over $7000, when I got there it was apparent that the car would not even make the trip home...

It is hard to say an exact value I would pay without seeing how much rust.  You can't actually see any rust in any of those photos but there are no shots of the main problem areas like A and C pillars, hatch, bottoms of doors and rear guards and the plenum area.

I agree for an SL hatch - tags don't mean shit.  As long as it has a clear stamped body number and cear title so it can be registered.

I would pay a lot more than $2K for an excellent clean rust free shell with doors and hatch and front panels which this may be - the cost to fix the rust in an average hatch shell can be $5 to $10K if you can't do it yourself.

$7K does sound too much with the info provided but hey start high and negotiate down is how it goes.  If people are enquiring and making offers, the market will set the price or the owner will have a pile of metal in the driveway for a few more years.

Were in no rush to sell it, it's been with us for years and finally we thought get rid of it so 7k may be a bit high but ay who ever actually puts the price they want up first.? This is a private sale Isn't that how it works. people saying what it's worth what it's not worth and blah blah I appreciate all the help, I really do. We never set the price ourselves people making offers set it for us. Why would I need to say what they're valuing the car at? That's there personal opinion and everyone prices it to what they know or even are willing to buy it for. The douchebags I'm calling douhebags are the people who don't even read the ad and msg and call asking to take it for a bloody spin! A lot of douchebags wasting my time being annoying with dumb questions or calling when I say do not! I do not care when people say oh good luck selling that for that price or way to overpriced. It's call negotiating, If people are interested genuinely interested we are more than happy to accept an offer or negotiate on a reasonable price but I guess people love putting there two cents in. And people with no manners I call douchbags do not say please may I come and view the car just plain, oi what's your address. There's my small rant. And thank you @toranamat69 someone who gets it :)

Thank you I'm glad someone understands how to sell things especially when it's a private sale.

Sorry mate I dont agree with you there. While I agree on most of what you say. To say that an SL hatch with no tags is worth no more than an SL L32 hatch with tags is a complete and utter brain snap. I would never buy a car with no tags and so would 80% of buyers probably more.

yeah I did ponder that.....but when does a car become a shell?........likewise I thought that the whole idea of needing to quote some unique I.D. was to stop grubs from stealing cars, stripping them, then selling off bits and pieces individually,,including the shell?

....happy to be corrected..
