what reducer should i use

hi ,i just bought some epotec 408 primer surfacer,the  reducer they gave me is R199 but I have read that it should be R202

what would  the difference be between the 2 reducers and would the R199 still work 0k ?????

Download the msds sheet for the primer you are using and it will have what reducers you can use. Alternatively download the msds for the reducer.

R199 will work it will just dry god awefully slow. 

 

R202 is the correct reducer, or CS3800 is useable.

 

R199 doesnt exist anymore, it was replaced by CS3800 GP reducer in Protecs big product change up thing about two years ago, i bet the bastards were trying to palm off old stock.

Yeh, Ive been using epotech 408 a lot lately on the rana build and R202 is the correct reducer....was easy to get...just ordered it when I got the paint and it was in the next day...I bought a 4 litre tin of it for $56.00 that's enough to thin heaps of 408 at 20% mix ratio for spraying.....I love this epoxy, best stuff to use ever lol
Got mine through OVESCO at Sandgate Newcastle.
