Did they have a minimum amount of pitstops they had to do to make it fair for the new cars?

Pretty sure they did at Sandown, so assuming they did at Bathurst too.

Yes you are correct, it's was changed to a minimum of 7 stops due to the fuel consumption of the new cars.

just got home and the ex wouldn't let me and the boy back in
until we had a shower and washed every damb thing we took including
the clothes and shit that never made it out of the car
campsite smoke gets into everything haha!
4 years in a row for peter and myself and another fantastic bathurst
both buildup and big day
the wind and the heat were something else this year

fark that washing machine is slow!
but we will be there next year again
as there is only one great race!!!!!!
cheers

Being in the 25 year plus club for camping on the hill at Sulman Reid Ive watched the good times, outer control times and now the family event.

We have been front row campers since first attendance all camps along the front in this area are all very good mates plus many behind and as far as the comunication tower. The general feeling they are not holdens or fords so stop crapping on the blue verses red it is not a Aust touring car as such far from it.Shorter panels shorter in chassi width and all the other witch are many to what is sold from factory floor. The greed machine must roll on. By all means we must move forward and more breeds will bring more competition. So a new caterogary name to represent what is racing today. The race this year boring except for last laps foot off the pedal stuff and follow the guy in front 7 compolsery stops killed it.Crowd numbers down, camping down, a reflection of the new car and breeds maybe.I know this to be the same for some of other events run already dont believe the media bullshit numbers.

In short we return each year not firstly for the car race but for fun times with all we havent seen for a year the cars help bring us all back to a common place with a quality race track meeting. We are all avid passionate motorsport attendees of many of the rounds. So what ever the changes we wont stop going till they kick us off the hill. Its motosport what ever the changes.

Ever thought of going to the easter bathurst 12hr where they race production cars (in amongst the sports cars)? Most people wouldn't know that race and the other production car rounds exist, such is the media sway of v8sc...

Being here in the west bit hard to attend the 12hr many of the closer boys have been plenty of space with less restrictions.Personelly I would luv to see another form take off it was the talk of many on the hill this year. The ex Cochrane format is a pied piper greedy business that the public fooly follow including me reluctantly paying ever increasing fees. They care not for the fans but to screw them of the wallet as proven by the ever increasing fenced off venues with nothing but yourself entering the venue.I could go on but not to bore Ill stop. Yes I will get to the 12hr but it still wont be the same as Oct and the 150 odd state mates.

Hello SS hatch

I went up in 1984 and there was a camp called smarties circus there

They had been going for a lot of years even back then

Any way was wondering if they were still going there ?

They had a magnificent set up back then..
