That's nice work Jonesy,
Pretty much identical power figures to my 202 combo.
Who did the dyno and do you have a print out? I'm interested to compare the torque and power curvs.

Alrighty then.
So I got the tune up done today, super impressed with the work that went in to making it perform. Had to modify the springs in the dizzy & reset timing again, check & set all carby jets, idle, dashpot oil etc etc. Fitted a richer - read WAY richer - set of needles. Went from my old faithful TP set to RH.
Anyways, got 152.7kw n/a out of it. A bit over 200hp at the wheels in the old scale.
Now let me tell you that was nowhere near the 7k+ rpm I was expecting, it was 32 degrees & we were spraying water over the su bowls to keep them cool.
So on account of it being so f-ing hot, things were against us for running the gas without worrying about everything, so we finished up. Might give it another go in the new year on a cooler day, but for now, time to clock up some km's.
stout - well done.
nice to see a 202 build thread. There should be more...

Did Performance Techniques provide any flow figures for the head work? I'm looking for a good place to do my head in Adelaide that really now their stuff.
Cheers, Adam.

Nice Jonesy!
I knew that combo had 200RWHP in it. It will be interesting to see how it likes cooler weather and some gas.

Jump onto summit and pick up a LM2.
While your there just to top up the package grab a Gtec Pro SS as well.
Best money you will spend.

The LM2 is how i tuned the old boat. It would still be sitting there running on four spluttering when you tap the throttle if it wasnt for it.
The Gtech works a bit funny on boats, very hard to do the quarter mile thing because the Gtech demands you get totally stationary, this generally takes about 2 minutes of floating there waiting lol. The HP runs are usefull though, though probably not totally accurate on water.
Cheers.

Be careful where you place the O2 sensor in a boat, as the sensor will not last long if hit with water while it's in use.
If you need to purchase Innovate stuff, try this http://highway66spee...pe=2&sortItem=7
There prices are similar to the USA but less the freight.

I did all my own tuning with the o2 sensor just after the extractors. Best thing you will ever buy.
just for comparison here is my dyno sheet showing very similar peak hp.
I have since tweaked the tune a fair bit since this was done but I imagine the peak hp would still be the same.

Similar dyno results as mine, within a couple of hp.

Warren,
Does the shape of your curve look more like Jonesy's?
You run tripple su's as well don't you?
It's interesting to see how the different induction and head packages behave.
It looks like the 9 ports really come on hard in their sweet spot, whereas the 12 port is more of a constant increase.

This was with the 12 port head, 2" SU's, Armours manifold, 256° cam & 10.8:1 cr. This setup ran 12.7@105 on the 1/4. I'll have to look for the print out for the current combo.

Very interesting Warren, looks almost identical.
Obviously one dyno will ready different to another, but the shape of the curves are pretty damn close if you scale them together.
Jonesy I imaging with the well sorted stall converter yours will be damn fast, remember mine and Warrens are stick shifts.

And nice 1/4 time with a stick there warren...
It now runs 12.51@108 with a different cam, 12.5:1 cr, 9 port head & still a stick car.

You're right Adam. I hope the converter is enough for n/a & spot on for the gas.
BTW is yours 9 or 12 port? Are there any pics floating around of it?

i think this should go high 10s on nitrous pretty easily. my 11.5.1 hydraulic 248* cam 9 port 1 3/4 su 202 made 134 kw through a trimatic and 3500 converter and ran 13.5 @ 101. then on a realistic 75 hp of nitrous ran 11.5 118.
