Was out of fuel AND the bloody condenser (new) had Chernobyled its self. Lost a couple of hours sorting that out. BUT! the relay fixed it running with the key off so some progress.

Glad I help you in some ideas.... I am a little concerned, that your alternatopr might be in the stages of dieing. Under normal operation it should not supply voltage/current through D+ to run the car on with.

Its a used Bosch I threw on one night a few months ago when the Lucas died. When it was running with the key off, I was checking power to and from the ignition switch using a test light. When I probed the wire that feeds the ign/alt/batt light (call it what you like but in this case it says ign) the engine stopped.

You have a later model bosch alt then. Normally it will be D+ what other terminals do you have?

Road tested the Rangie tonight and all is well, I reckon its up 30+HP on the old motor. Plan now is to go to Mathoura Fri night and return Sat with the Commy. Tomorrow night is clean up the shed night and start preping the motor for the Commy in the absence of the Commy. Will start a new topic in members plans and projects (and maybe a poll? will it happen?) with some tech topics with pics.

Spewin! Times like this i wish we didn't sell the car! ten days to go we'd be runshin around like crazy as usual! Haha I dont think ill even make it up there this time :( Probably be out skiin/wakeboarding,if this change i might bring the hatch up for a cruise dont think i highly doubt ill take it on the track not worth the risk! Hope all goes good for u guys out there! Lots of pics too!

Well i am looking forward to the next Winton Fun Day already.... 28th is locked into the calender.
My plan at this stage is to replace all the bushes in the front suspension and do the XU-1 mod before the fun day.
