Maybe indeed to take it off and polish it to give it some life, and maybe same with the carbies.

I've heard most girls prefer ribbed over smooth?
The only one to use is a deep finned 1960s thomas cover . they look great also act as an oil cooler and girls go nuts over the deeper ribs .

So I've been thinking about the look of your engine there Grant...
Maybe the black look, either wrinkle finish or satin (or whatever, as long as it's black) on the rocker cover AND the intake manifolds.
Give the carbs a good clean and hey presto, awesomeness!
Ps. I may not be a good judge of dressing up a 202 without su's...
