Just a little question as this amazes me how much attention torana's get. So I posted an ad this week trying to sell my partners Torana Shell and have numerous amounts of genuine interests as well as time wasters.
Now my question is has anyone ever had threats claiming that the shell was their "mates" and he's in jail going to get out in a month blah blah.
It's highly amusing to me to encounter this sort of abuse firstly over a Torana shell and also through text message.
I thought I'd share my story as it may make a few giggle at a poor attempt of this particular individual trying to make a buck through supposed scare tactics.
So I receive a message
"Hey buddy that car is my mates car who is locked up. Due out in around a month, it looks like those pics are at his old house."
First rookie mistake " it looks like those pics are at his old house".
First of all at our residence before moving in the father in law resided and the shell was brought during his stay. No shell was here before tenure as this is a rental property.
Odd? is your mate my father in law who by the way isn't in jail but actually is away at work and knows about the sale?
My actual reply "I don't think so mate."
Second rookie mistake "Yeah mate I know that's his tori" "speaking to him tomorrow so ill let him know"
He's informing me that it is and he's going to tell his mate. How sweet of him.
My actual reply "Well it's not so good luck with that."
Third rookie mistake " Well expect a visit" "you'll see jokes you frOck head. You gonna get the shit kicked outa ya"
Now I still find this amusing as I'm 160cm short, 8 and half months pregnant with a two year old hanging from my leg all day. Apparently I'll see jokes and going to get the shit kicked out of me, guys these days are quite charming. I find it amusing but being a parent I have to think about safety and my children. My partner doesn't find this amusing one bit but even he's mature enough to not retaliate and handle this situation in a mature manner.
My actual reply "Police will be notified"
His response "yeah good Cunning Stunt"
Now since this, the ad has been taken down and police have been notified. I'm not really worried as the ad never said my address but as a precaution because I have sent out the address and a couple guys never turned up. This ridiculous human being who if does try anything will be caught as Police have his number and details. Threats through messaging is very low and cowardly and as much as I want to reply back saying to get a life, I have self respect to know it will do no good and just use unnecessary energy towards a low life.
I read through the stolen section of this forum and now will be joining the lookout for criminals who do decide to steal other peoples property. Makes me angry and I'm just being threatened but for the ones who have to go through the ordeal of having a thief who has most probably never worked a day in their life steal their car or parts, I'm sympathetic and will not stand by un-noticing this behaviour anymore.
