Do you get satisfaction from commenting? Are you one of those "cyber bullies, trolls, warriors"?
Does commenting on something that bothers you make you feel more of a man because your 2 cents will supposedly matter to the receiver?
or just pure boredom?

"Hello everyone I'm new to this forum a friend recommended I go on this to get all my questions answered.
First of all I'm trying to sell a Torana shell that I have that's been sitting at the house for years so I thought it was about time it goes. I need help on what to find to put in a description to sell the more information the more I can give people on the listing.
I'm a female with no idea at all about cars my dad says its an original shell in great condition but I know ill need more than those words to be able to sell it.
Please help me thanks heaps if you do"
This is your original post.
So you have decided it is time to sell your partner's car ?
And your partner has no idea what this car he owns actually is, whether it came with tags or what it may be worth ?
If you're going to insult people for wondering what exactly is going on maybe you could explain these odd circumstances a little more clearly ?

I offered to come look at the car in the original thread and could have made an assessment on its ball park value from a buyers perspective
Not me as a buyer as I have no interest in it
At which point all the variables such as condition , rust , completeness , tag numbers etc would have been sorted
I would have given you a base guide as a minimum and suggested a starting price for you to advertise it
My offer was ignored
Now.. as far as your advert is concerned
From a buyers point of view you have provided little information for anyone to make an informed decision on whether they want to even look at the car or not
Without a guide price and just "make an offer" its hard to know whether to bother
So people offer low... you counter high... so you have a minimum figure in your head
PUT IT IN THE ADVERT !!!!
Offers over $xx... etc
Otherwise your wasting your own and other peoples time.

people will most definitely disagree with you and not care about your opinion but focus on what they think is correct and what they say goes. I would assume and I may be wrong but prices vary on your location, interest, knowledge, market all combined. As it does with everything else. People sometimes offer more because they really want it but then it does come down to money in my hand and money from the mouth.
If you werent a woman i'd say stop blowing it out of your arse but since your a woman i wont

Did I miss something? Why are we bagging this member?
+1.
I was one of the few who got to inspect the said Torana. I spoke at length to the "partner" about the car and it's history and until reading this post a minute ago I was unaware of the problems experienced with others inquiring about the car.
It must have been tough having stranger(s) come around to inspect under the circumstances and for that I have to commend you for your resolve!.

Usually when you sell a car you have 'strangers come around' in my experience.
I've never found it particularly 'tough'.

Wow .....somebody opened a can of worms here......
as posted above you would have a figure in your head what you wanted for this car ....or part of a car....or what is the bare min you would except ......so use this as your starting price
and write in your sale ad ALL OFFERS ABOVE $$$$ CONSIDERED ........SIMPLE
this way if people don't have that amount of money to spend they wont bother you ......its not that hard
My tip for you .....I have just brought a car this week seller ask xxx amount ....I offered xxx amount and this was a starting point for our sale .....
asking price 30 k
agreed sale price 24 k
and the car is inter state business is business .......Good luck with your sale and hope this helps
