I'm sure they've done their homework.

This is an Australia wide kit I think you'll probably find.

If you give them a call I'm fairly certain they'll basically give you the same answer.

Most likely mate.

I fail to see the big kerfuf, i thought my first response would be sufficient, i will not be buying this kit, if i choose to fit a j series to my car i'll do it myself as i see fit.

I only commented because others previous pointed out faults, i dont see you asking them for an explanation?

Cheers.

I see.

Answer this?

"I see they made the mounts that's the easy part its the sump/pick up that is the main issues as well as fire wall clearance because that needs to be cut and remade for clearance and radiator clearance issues the list goes on I now 1st hand the trouble im afraid its not as easy as just buy mounts, hope no one gets caught with that our one took many hours to get right with the sump, mounts, brakes, gearbox, radiator, fuel system ect.ect.ect"

Cheers.

NCOP is a guideline not a law

Engineer says do this or no rego... you do it or find another engineer to sign off on it

.

Since when have CRS conversions only consisted of engine mounts ?

It says that they are working on a conversion, which I'm sure will be fairly comprehensive and include relevant advice, in keeping with the Hadfield tradition.

Nicely done.

Unlike previous CRS kits, will it fit?

Cheers.

I refuse to answer that on the grounds that it may be used against me.

Hehehe..

Obviously you have never purchased anything from CRS.

Note, i have not purchased anything from them since they were brought out, perhaps the quality has improved.

Cheers.

My perverted little mind likes the idea of 1000 at the fly with mostly bolt ons with a factory drivetrain to take it.

In WA the DPI has the final say for rego. The DPI decides what modifications they will allow and what modification codes apply eg. LA2. The engineers job is to complete the checklists specified by the DPI. Once the engineer has completed the checklists the DPI will inspect the car and approve or refuse rego.

Obviously the engineer can refuse to sign off on a checklist if they are not happy with the job.

well that helps lakeside,i thought eze 10s was into the firewall more than that, got heaps of room at the front too,and down low in the bay,any pics of mounts and on gearbox tunnel on eze 10s you can share ,i was more or less going to go the route like that black beast to maximise the cars rearward weight transfer but i doubt it would get regd with the box tunnel.or recessed firewall.its got me thinkin maybe just do it like eze 10s.

cheers mate

Maybe they cut the firewall back due to the 2jz being 28mm taller than 1jz, taller block deck height.

Yeah that's, cheaper and easier than a CRS kit. Was very tempted to buy but too far for me.

the reason the tunnel has to be cut is because you can only go so low on the mounts the sump has to be given enough clearance on the k frame the original top part of sump needs to be used because it is part of the oil pick up as well as the bottom part of the gearbox mount so because the engine sits high in the bay the only way to fit a gearbox would be to angle the engine back at angle that wouldn't be to good for internal oil flow or driveshaft angle so the tunnel has to be cut and raised so you can adjust your gearbox as to have a 3-4 degree driveshaft angle. it fits in the bay with out even taking that lip off at the fire wall but it does allow for a bit more room if you do, I don't now how to put up picks here but I do have heaps if your interested let me now I may be able to help

you went seeing things gtrboyy ,the motor is perched up,mark owner of eze10s has text me sayin his beast sits low because he has modified the front xmember for the sump and made his own mounts,he has mentioned that he likes to run the std rear sump cause toyota spent heaps on developing it ,so why would you change it,the tunnel has been heated and stretched just a little for the box to fit and also runs the std gearbox xmember.if there is any probs with oil flow, i think that it would be minimum,if it was the case it could be iradicated by running a dry sump, the fire wall has only had a slight massage too, stuff all if you ask .

cheers
