Is this Genuine Holden Handle? Did these comeout from factory? I've never seen these before

I'm looking at the Handle above the GTR badge

I thought that's what the arm rests were for. Wonder why they had these...

If I bought a Torana from a dealership I wouldn't fit these but that is my opinion.

I guess the Torana doors are flimsy when you pull from the arm rests to close the door, this would be better to close the door.

These pull-to handles were basically made for HK/HT/G/Q etc. taxi packs. To make a few more $$, GM-H made them available as a Nasco accessory so they could be fitted to just about anything, Toranas included. I've even seen them as toolbox handles.

 

The look a lot better bolted to the metal section of a HK/T/G door rather than on the vinyl trim of a Torana GTR door. I wouldn't be drilling thru my door trims just to fit those handles.

Maybe the door rubbers were a problem then too .

Hi Thoses door handles were also fitted on the HQ utes and vans.
