I know it's not a Torana, but someone may be able to help.

I'm looking for some pics of the front blackouts for the HJ Sandman, without the bumper bar would be really good, but any at all would be much appreciated. I've checked out the mysandman forum, but can't find the pics that show me the front clearly.

Hey warren go on my sandman forum again and go under hj section and look at the thread AdamPerth,s van and there is a pick of a green sandman front on it has no bumper on it

I dom't have proper GMH Engineering drawings yet for XX7/XU3 blackouts. Yet. Still looking for them. I have the actual paint spec though.

When you say "paint spec" you are referring to the paint mix, correct.

The paint material specification is S263. This will be be from what I understand a technical specification for the paint type.

The actual formula is 578-4149, a semi-gloss black. Same stuff used on interior plastics like steering column lower shroud etc.

A guy I used to work with had a green Sandman like the one above. He was going to sell it and when a guy came and took it for a drive he spun the wheels around a corner so "Old Mate" as he was known made the guy pull over, kicked him out and left the guy to walk several blocks back to his car. I wish I was there to see it.
It's just a funny Sandman story I thought I'd share.

R.I.P Old Mate. You were quite a character.
