This one is for Red, his knowledge on the A9x history astounds me!

 

Back in about 1988-90 in Central Queensland Biloela, I was 16 or so, a local lad always had a stream of A9X's come and go, a couple that I remember significantly are.

 

Supermint 4 door with slate interior......beautiful.

 

The other one that sticks with me was his Atlantis Blue 2 Door with the Tan interior, I remember sitting in it, thinking...I don't go much for this interior color ( how tastes change with maturity!)

 

 

Ultimately, this one was stolen, I have talked to him about it lately, and this is the story.

 

Drove the car down to Brisbane to put it in a car lot for sale on consignment, I think the business name was "Unique Cars" I may be wrong....anyway, long story short, it got nicked.....always wondered if had ever turned up?

 

I'm sure Red may have some insight as to where it is today?

Sincere apologies, outer control has shocked some sense into me, not what i was thinking, it was the Supermint 4 door that was stolen,.... Bloody brain fade!, once again, sincere apologies to anyone that this may have offended..

In Unique Car Magazine in the 1990's there was a A9X Hatch that was for sale and was stolen when person took it for a test drive, the colour I think was Atlantis Blue, I think it was found crashed and was repaired etc.

I know of a white, black trim, A9X hatch that was for sale in the late 80's, early 90's, test drove and then stolen. Later found but with Sunbird ID plates and original tags gone. Stolen from Swansea, Lake Macquarie.

I think I cut out the thingy from Unique Car magazine, or I cut the pic out of the A9X Hatch from the story, and I am 100% sure it was Atlantis Blue, will try and find it and post it up.

This is bull shit I brought the blue hatch in 2001 from Brisbane the car yard was called street machine car sales so I don't think it was stolen and I sold it to Tony in 2004

I went and looked at that Blue A9X hatch at Street Machine car sales about 5 or 6 times as they had it there a while.  I remember looking and saying piss off, I'm not paying $24K for a Torana hatch :-)

Ultra Blue it was, as Red said, I made the mistake about it been Atlantis Blue, it was the Ultra Blue one stolen in the 1990's, sorry
