Ill have a look for those headers, i'd really like some radius style.

You reckon, Wayne? I actually dont mind it. It definitely beats the ugly factory pillion seat so it will have to do. I might try and find a lepera solo seat/

Maybe photoshop a black seat and see how it comes up.

For pipes also try RPE Motorcyles on Ameican eBay. I bought 5 sets of Vance and Heinz from them. Very reaonable price even with freight. There is also another I use in the States, but I will need to search their name, I can't remember at the moment, but I have bought a few sets of vrod exhausts through them. Both worth a look (when I give the second one)

I'll have to look, I'm not paying 800 for a set of VH pipes it's ridiculous. Hard part is they are not the same as the big twins so I'm limited in what I get. Might have to get some made

I bought in some V&H for a sporty a couple years back. Landed for just under$500 by memory.
Expensive for pipes, cheap for a Harley.
Or, mandrel bends are about $25 a bend plus some pipe, probably about $100 maybe a bit more for materials, and around $200-$250 for chromeing. And the bought ones will have heat shields so you don't see them go blue with heat, and possibly baffles to take out the hollow sound of a straight threw pipe

Maybe an RSV4 next to it haha.

Anyway finished phase one which was make it a little more presentable. Having some scraping troubles, and yes it is a bit rough but not as bad as i thought, shocks still kind of work. Next i need to organise new sprockets and a chain, but at least ive cleaned up all the rust, oxidised allot and shitty flaking chrome.

Next on the list is to piss of that headlight mount, ruins the bike. Problem is i need to figure out where to mount my dash lights first. After that i want to get a 21" front wheel and wider rear solid wheel. Will i fit 5.5"? And then of course, pipes.

Wow that's nice. You don't see many Aprilia's around. Do they contend with the jap bikes?

On the other hand I'm too stupid for one. I ride a harley because I can keep both wheels on the ground.

Dude...... this is all you see on the roads......  frOcking black Harleys...........  no one seems to have an imagination these day's..  image is everything ..... thats why they were a helmet you wouldn't wear if you've ever crashed a bike hard.....    anyway's while there busy looking out for the Bikie wanna be's...... there leaving the Sports Bikes alone........ funny that,   when they all do 0-100 in 2.5 sec's and will run out to 300 KPH ..  matter of choice i guess .....    PS this is my local pub .....  get my drift   :)

The bike dyno shop across from my work runs one as a race bike O M G the sound is amazing. I'm loving the hyper motard from ducati at the moment. Complete hooligan bike.

Haha you are right in what you say about the helmets. Im guilty of that and i admit it. But anyway i think its a cultural thing, hard to change the way you feel in that respect. But as for the sports bikes, apples and oranges. Yes they are super fast, but super easy to get out of hand and no where near the same presence on the road. Dont get me wrong, i love them, but they are a dime a dozen. Harleys may be mostly black, but the one thing ive noticed is you rarely see two the same. Still want a jap bike, but to be honest im a bit shit scared because i straight out have no self control, lol.

Is that just a dirt bike on animal growth hormone?

Everyone always says that Jacob... (about getting into trouble on a sports bike) and they are really, really fast...  but they also stop and go around corners. which is two things Harleys don't do.....  and you can do 200 KPH on a Harley if you have no self control also....  don't get me wrong, i too like Harley's (especialy Black ones) and I have many friends with them or about to get them..  But all they do is ride them from home to the Pub, most have Black Softtails, they all wear fingerless gloves, Black Vest, and a Matt Black Open Faced Helmet....  when I talk to them about crashing with the gear they wear, they just say that there not going out to crash.....  well good luck with that... because dogs can run out on you, pipes can fall of Tradies Utes, oil on the road, or just the general public in cars doing there best to kill you.. lol.    have fun mate stay safe, and enjoy the feeling of riding a bike. because once the bike bug bites you, it's in your blood forever....

PS....  one of my mates just bought one of these ....  Softail Breakout....  beautiful bike... $40,000 +

I get your point mate but disagree a bit.

I had to sell all my bigger jap bikes because im to throttle happy.

Your right that you can speed on a harley as well, but if cruising to work i feel like snapping a few gears im doing like 80 in a 60, same thing on my old cbr900rr and i was doing 160.

Yes its easily controlable but its the difference between loosing your license for three months or jail time.

Hence i sold them all and decided not toget another big sports bike untill i get my ducati 916sp.

And for the record i rock a full face, draggin jeans, full jacket and full gloves, so lay off on the steriotypes.

Cheers.

Nothing beats the dry clutch sound!! 40k, wow thats a lot for a bike.

I know it sounds like a cop out, yeah they are too fast blah blah. But to be honest im actually shit scared. I've had jap bikes and i dont know how to cruise. At least on the harley, like DJ said, i snap the throttle and im barely doing 80. Plus i've had mates put their bikes down in front of me, i just dont trust myself. Shit excuse i know. I like to cruise, i like the noise.

I always see myself getting another jap bike, it will take a bit of convinving.
