Its a shame that GMH has always tried to cover this up.
Plus still covering up models today that where made in the last 10 yrs.
Wonder if it comes down thru GM itself.

Came across this in my travels. Don't know if it will shed any more light on the subject or just add to the debate.

13" N71 wheels on the sedan - never seen those before. I wonder what the significance of the yellow car is? V8 SL sedan?

It's a shame GM-H didn't offer a sports option pack for the 82569.

Barney had a 6cyl originally, might be before Harry got hold of it.

Interesting the Yellow 4-Door, maybe a V8 SL. its funny it is sharing the Spotlight with Barney and Barney is wearing its Cosmetic Kit that Leo wanted on the V8 Cars.

I noticed that the yellow car has a black grille and black outs around the bottom and non std wheels so perhaps there's more going on with that car than expected at first glance.
Yeah, GTR style black decorative paintouts, totally black grille, spotlights and silver wheels with GTR chrome trim rings, centre caps and wheel nuts.

Wheels look like N71 wires not silver.
Ok, I see what you mean. Looked like GTR wheel trims and centre caps. Zooming in I can now see the wire spoke design you speak of.

A friend found this one, the Engine by the reporter is under power figures, it was around 300 HP and not the standard 240HP, as the XW7 Donk had a Big Cam and same Crank Shaft assembly as the L34 as L34 and L34 HO used the same crank shaft assembly and the XW7 Engine, The XW7 Engine had the same Valve Springs as the HO L34 Engine.

Just out of interest or for anyone doing research on the subject,
I have tracked the seller of this car to 6 Chambers street South Yarra.
That's only 500m away from Holmesford at 402 Chapel street.
The 478 number is somewhere in Preston.

I'm no expert but I'm tippin Ian didn't know what it really was? 3 errors that I can see in that add if what we know is true?

I spoke to Ian Wansley about this car 3 years ago. He knew the history of the car and how special it was.
