Hi all

I am looking to upgrade from std. air filter to something cooler looking and performing. I like velocity stack look but obviously no scoop limits my options.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Turn the lid upsidedown on the standard aircleaner also helps while still retaining the "stock" look

Watch those aftermarket aircleaner assemblies on a Qjet. The base plate can foul the rod for the accel pump. I know the drop down bases do.

O.K thanks for the photos Peter, I have seen this type before (K&N) Will this clear the std. bonnet and how do they seat on the carb? Do they require a base plate or is it moulded into the bottom? The std. lid has been reversed and I know there is a product that fits and looks good hence my original post.

Thanks people.

Would have a bottom plate/hat.

I've only seen the bottom bits used off chrome 'kits' with the top and bottom hats that use whatever filters, which have the top and ring(?) filters replaced with the K&N bits.

They seem to sit lower over the carb (to allow a taller filter than stock) and have a couple extra bumps in the bottom plate to clear the carby bits.

I found I have to get mine turned to just the right spot to clear the linkages etc.

You might be able to trim down the standard bottom plate/hat?
