The story was the guy was getting sick of wiping out his front spoiler on driveways ...... so he just gave it some more ground clearance.
Only trouble is now the front spoiler has no effect so he has gone and deleted it.

THis was on the forums years ago, from memory its on an International Stout chassis.
Cant remember what engine.
That pick looks identical to the one that was on ebay and subsequently here probably back in 06 or 07, to long ago to remember, so frOck knows whats happened to it since.

I remember those IH Stouts. They would be pretty close in wb to the lx from my memory, so sounds about right.
On the Overlander which I have driven (quite a few years ago), imo forgetting the nit picking no doubt Hayward and his VEM tassy workshop certainly was innovative.

They must have done some work around the front spring hanger off the radiator support panel.
Interesting seeing other angles of it. Shame they used a hatch not a common taxi.
Isn't a Stout a Toyota.

The IH was not something I got into as it was all about the old Landrovers and then later the short wheelbase FJ40's. Funny how 4x4's have flooded the personal car market where it was mainly mining and farming way back when.

I did a conversion like this in another lifetime. It was an FJ55 Landcruiser chassis and a Toyota Crown wagon body.
It was 202 and 3 speed all synchro mounted to the FJ 55 transfer case.
It was pretty easy as the Crown came with a full chassis and all I had to do was cut off and trim/move the Landcruiser mounts up and down the chassis to meet up with the mounts on the Crown body.
The mounts in the floor of the Crown were nothing more than big, thick washers welded to the floor pan.
That hatch has been around for a while and if my memory is correct, it is a Jeep chassis.

An old Range Rover chassis might be the go. V8, coils all round, 2540mm wheelbase and 1480mm track.
Keeping the original drivetrain makes the legalities of body swaps much easier these days.

As far as a body goes though, there aren't any Holden's with a full chassis unless you go back to the real early stuff, so you would have to engineer in mounting points. Although, I do know where there is a Crown ute that would look OK jacked up. I guess that would be full chassis the same as the wagon. I saw a pic of the hatchback a little while ago and it was full of rust. I don't think it is even running any more.

Have a look under a 45 series Landcruiser. It would look pretty similar to that I suppose.

Yeah all old Crowns are full chassis. And if you stick to one brand donor cars the legalities are much easier. Crown and early 4 Runner or 55 Series Cruiser wagon are very close for wheelbase and track if anyone is keen. Chuck in a 1UZ or 1 - 2JZ and Bob's your uncle.
