This was bought for 10k. It is an L32 with a chassis kit installed, Saginaw 4 speed, 9inch diff. Was supposed to be a 355 but turned out to be worked 308. Engine had a lifter noise but still ran quite well, in the end got it rebuilt.

Body was good with only a small amount of rust at bottom of right rear quarter. Standard brakes with original brown/woodgrain interior. Bought around July 2011. So in keeping with the thread...what sort of prices have SL/R's, A9X's or SS's been going for?

And yes I know...it all depends on condition etc etc and every car is different. However if this thread generates a huge list of recent sales you can soon get an idea of average prices for a similar car to your own.

Not an SLR mate.  Actually just a plain jane S model.  My SLR days are long gone unfortunately..I did think about changing my forum name after buying my hatch but decided to stick with the old one.  No point in changing it now :-)

Wow, I would have thought going by the Engine Bay pic and the Preslite wiper motor that it would of been a Brissy built.

Going by the look it the pics its very original so it would be the first Adelaide built car I've seen with a Preslite wiper.

Just a question dose the chassi number end in B???

+1 John, and being a Tamworth car (if sold by a Tamworth dealer or nearby) would have likely been supplied by Acacia Ridge.

I assume it's a case of the Lucas wiper motors being less reliable than the presslite items. When the Lucas one needed to be replaced they would've just asked the wreckers for a Lc /Lj wiper motor, once no one would've cared which one went back in but now we're all getting very particular about these sort of details.

I had been looking at the colour of the boot and engine bay to try to see if it was black or grey, but I couldn't really tell from the picture.

James, that Preslite wiper motor looks to good to be second hand.

But yeah, reckon no one would have really cared if it was a Lucas or Preslite, as long as it worked.
