Ok so I know 1/4 mile times have been flogged to death but I'm narrowing them down to, as the title suggests, holden 6's running triple 1 3/4" su's.
Think I just need some encouragement as to what I can achieve with my combo, but if you wish to add diff gears/gearbox/stall go right ahead.

And I know that you may have run some great numbers with webers & holleys, AND 2" su's, but I don't have those...

SM mag last few months seems to be featuring fx/fj racers from 70's-80's that cracked high 11's.Harrop's Howler etc.

Lighter car,bigger slicks..high comp,big cams etc

Most had su's even Harrops Howler in the beginning.

I ran 13.2 @ 100 with 1 3/4's, YT open chamber head I ported, the stick was around [email protected] and .530 lift.
That was until the repco cast pistons exploded, it far exceeded my expectations.

Nothing wrong with the SU's Jason, they have they're application.

Wouldn't it be great if ya could get as cast, undrilled 149 heads, I'm sure a few were smuggled from the foundry back in the day.

Cheers Kev, that's the comparison I wanted.
Cam spec is similar to mine, and that times still using the stick I assume...
Got to love su's, makes the haters bite every time...

Thanks for the updates guys, keep them coming.
Obviously there's not too many people running 1 3/4" for anything remotely close to racing purposes, maybe for good reason, but we'll see.

I can't remember 100%, but I think I was running mid 13s with 1 3/4" SU's. No reason you can't run 12s.
