Looking to start BBQ between 2 & 3pm.
Depending on stop in Kalamunda and start point, the run could be over 2-3 hours.

I have got about 7 L34's from what I gather, just need to firm it up. There have been others who will come along mentioned on here and through mates.
As soon as I get it all finalised and the plan complete, I will post it up and email it out to get firm numbers.
I'm looking forward to it Gene, be great to catch up with people, like the last forum cruise I went on that you arranged.

Hi All,
As you all know, I have been getting things organized to get everyone together for an L34 shindig.
The event is not that far away and I need to firm up numbers as soon as I can.
Can you please return to my email with a yes or no for the weekend??
Can you also confirm when you have sent in the GM day entry form. You can download it from their website.

Can you also pass this info onto other people who will want to join in and ask them to contact me. I don't care what car it is, just got to enjoy driving it.

The T Shirt's will be about $60ish?? Not sure yet as I haven't heard back from the company who is printing them. I have art cost and t shirt cost but not printing cost. Can you let me know if you are interested in one??

The weekend will be fairly simple,

Saturday:
Meet around 10am for a cruise. Possibly in Guildford at Alfred's Kitchen?
Head to Roe Hwy, Tonkin, Brookton, Canning Rd, Zig Zag, across to Great Eastern Hwy, up to Mundaring, over to Toodyay Rd, Obrien's Rd to Brock's memorial. Down Toodyay, Roe/ Reid Hwy to Whiteman Park for about 1pm.
I have spoken to the museum and they would like all L34's participating to park in front of the museum which has a grassed area adjacent. Have a BBQ there for a couple of hours.
All leave at the same time and head towards Mitchell Freeway. All of us block out the 3 lanes and put on a show as we drive towards the city.
Go our own ways from that point.

Sunday:
Set up at Steel Blue Oval between 7:30 and 8:30am in a group for GM day. I have spoken to the organizers and we will have a great spot where we can park and put up the banner.

Thanks for taking the time to read all of this. I hope that it will be a great weekend for all who join in and we get to drive the wheels off our beasts.

Anyone wanting to go, can they let me know as I will have to sort the catering next.

There's a pretty good chance I'm not going to make it but if I do I will just tack on the end of the cruise and take off before the barbie most likely.

 

I'll be in an LC, hopefully a green one but pretty unlikely at this point.

I have ordered a few spare to sell on the day.
We now have 7 L34's for Sundays show.
6 L34's for the cruise and BBQ on Saturday.

Good to see your L34 in the latest AMC mag Craig. Nice bit of promo work you have done there.

I think it is a bit of a shame that the A9X club have gone and organised 3 days of events, and yet not seen fit to ask the L34 guys if they want to get involved. They certainly know about the run you have planned for Saturday but they are doing there own one that goes to the same place but at a different time. This isn't a whinge by any means, and I probably don't know all the facts, but I just thought it would be good to have as many Toranas (and others) as possible going for a drive together.

For those people who haven't been getting the emails, the amount of work Craig has put into this project is amazing. Good on you buddy.

Cheers Laurie, appreciate the comments. Agree with you there, not sure what the go is with the A9X club?? I did think about about the A9X nationals and what they are up to but this is all about the L34 turning 40 this year and I had such a great time when I went to Phillip Island earlier this year. That this is why I am getting this organised.
I can't wait to get the L34s all together. And to have a cruise on Saturday with heaps of cars will be a shed load of fun.

In truth it would great to see the L34s support the A9Xs on their 40th in 3 years time.

For all those who have emailed, I will send out a group one on Tuesday to finalise people numbers, will be shopping for he food.
Anyone who hasn't told me already and wants to join the cruise just let me know.

Hi All,

I have got the run sheet available to be emailed to you if you can PM me.

 

I also need to know numbers for catering, most have replied to a group email I sent out last night. If you were not on that list, them PM me.

 

The run on  Saturday will start from Taylor St the borders McCallum Park in South Perth.

I ask all to meet at 10am for a 10:30am departure. As we have cars coming up from down south, we will be waiting if they are a bit late.

 

As I have said before, the run is for any car, not just L34's.

 

I hope its a great day, and everyone enjoys it.
