This is probably something for the Commodore guys but should there be an O ring on this fitting? It is one of 2 fittings from the transmission pipe to the radiator. When I tightened it up tonight on the radiator the pipe was still loose. Bit frustrating as it all slowly coming together.
Thanks

Just wondering in the pic above, those two little radiator outlets go to the commodore overflow as theres two connectors on the commo overflow. The stato has one overflow. Should I just join the two commodore outlets into one?

So far I have connected the high pressure power steering hose, got speedflow fittings from Motorsport connections. Also connected the return line for power steering.
Connected radiator hoses as well. Slowly getting there

There is supposed to be a oring there but its not a normal oring, its flat and has a steel outer ring. They were at last time of buying about $15 from holden, go to a auto a/c shop and they should have what you are after as they are the same as the late model compressor oring for commodores and come in different sizes.

Thanks mate

How about the two small radiator outlets. I was thinking of block them off all together then use an inline radiator neck with cap and with over flow outlet which can go to over flow bottle. Is this ok??

Thanks

that's them although the second link is a set of used ones wtf?

Theres probably a few ways to skin this cat. If you want to use what you have put the fitting that you link into the top hose and the highest point possible and block off one of the two 3/8 fittings on the rad. One goes back to the cross over pipe under the throttle body.

Cleaner again would be to use a VZ rad but you will need new fans and hoses, the vz has the bleed from the engine and a filler neck on the rad. The vz has different fitting layout and doesn't have that stupid crossover hose assy on the bottom

Upto vy use a header tank arrangement which is pressurised and non recovery, vz onwards use a normal style system with a recovery overflow tank.

The motor is running in the Statesman, this website wont allow me to post the movie clip of it for some reason.

Its a bit loud with the exhaust noise straight out the ports :)

LS1 and LS2 use different count reluctor wheels on the crank, and think the cam sensor was different between the 2 as well?

To my understanding the LS2 runs the same computer as an ls1 here in Oz. But the l98 runs the different reluctor.

cheers

Mark
