Clutch pedal height adjustment

I don't have a V8 book except for HX/HZ which gives a dimension of 7.3 - 7.5" from pedal to floorpan.
Currently to line up the brake and clutch pedal I have 6", which I suspect will not give me enough travel.
Does the clutch pedal actually sit at the same height as the brake pedal in V8 Toranas?
Anyone have the right dimension or tips for this adjustment?
Also I have a UC brake pedal and booster fitted so perhaps this pedal sits lower than a LX.
If someone can run a tape measure over this dimension on a standard set up for me I would greatly appreciate the help.

The UC 6cyl pedal needs to have the cable hook extended in length to obtain the correct amount of leverage/travel to operate the V8 clutch.
There is a thread or two about it here on the forum, somewhere!!!
