How many people still do brake and fuel lines for the public? I called a fair few reputable hydraulic/brake shops than wouldnt bend up or flare brake line for me. Something about liability and they wont do it unless they fit it as well.

the bender has separated from the mating part, I see there Marty,
Imagine a round tube, we need a complete covering, which means, that bender, needs to be touching the better half's,
and it's not; look, a gap of half the tube thickness to get out

Marty has my Sykes flaring tool and my Mastercool unit
So the flaring part is the easy bit
What do you mean about the end of the tube ? Pic ?

This tube is crap. I tried it with sand inside and making sure the pipe didn't slip. Very small angle and already kinking. . So if anyone knows a pipe bender in Perth north of river. Otherwise ?????
Dont let something that looks so easy get the better of ya mate ! frOck paying someone to frOck up your perfection to date....

Ahhh FFS Marty, I just realised after looking at your first pics again your bender suits 1/4", 5/16" & 3/8" tube. Your problem is you are trying to bend 5/16" tube in the 3/8" mandrel (slot). Try the middle 5/16" slot for your bends.

somebody called somebody a Tool
It's either the bending tool, the tool operating the tool or tubing with a very thin wall.
Haha, that I did Dave, that I did.
Cheers
Dave.

Hi, If you block one end of the tube with a small rolled up newspaper and twist it in tight about 40mm, then fill the pipe with a fine dry sand standing the pipe up vertical occasionally to tap the sand down with a small piece of wood gently tapping until it packs tight almost to the top then twist another piece of newspaper in the end trying not to leave any space you will find that it will bend cold with your hands, or hot will gas or with your bender without kinking, looks almost like a mandrel bend, make sure you wash the line out after. Good Luck, Cheers Plussy
