yeah i did mine.. no pics unfortunately  i found it easier to drill out the spotwelds and make up another piece to fit in although as my battery is in the boot i didn't put the ridges and mounts for the cradle..

The easiest way to repair is to remove the bad rust and nuetralise the rest. Then weld in a HG/HK battery tray to cover the section removed. You may have to preweld in some coach nuts it the originals are removed.

with mine we cut out the rusted centre section and replaced it with some flat plate that fitted inside the ridges

Finally got around to doing it and desided that the battery will go into the boot so just keep the new piece flat.

Nice job there!
I wonder why holden didn't continue the lip from the rail to the battery tray section?

Thanks studricho.

There is a lip all the way, but as I am going to trim the whole lip and add a stiffener plate to the side of the rail I just didn't add it back on to this area.

We remade mine, spent all day, unpicking the spot welds, fabbing new panel and then ribbing it as per original so battery tray sits in properly. Then 2 years later rare spares release them for $69, haha Ive got no luck at all.
