A car the 202 comes in (VB-VK) shares the same wheel stud pattern as a BMW (5 x 120mm)?

Love the concept of this thread too. Would be even better to see someone do an LS1 into one.

And lets not forget the commodore also ran 107.95mm (4.25") Torana stud pattern...

Yeas true, but Holden stud pattern which Torana also used. I think the bigger link is the Torana wheels on the 4cyl Commodore!

LS1 beemers have been done many times. Seen dozens of ace threads.

202 looks great in there. Well done!

Don't get me wrong here, I'd love to chuck in an ls engine with nitrous putting out somewhere in the vicinity of 600hp and yeah it would be SO much fun, but you limit your social network, friends disown you, constant beating down on forums....

that's too funny.

go bro go

Cheers Grant.

Took a few more steps forward this weekend.

Fitted up the extractors after some mods to remove the flange washer spacers, along with the intake so it fits up real now now & looks the part.

Tailshaft & diff got slipped in as one unit & set up sweet as after sorting out a trans mount.

So with the intake/carbs in place I trial fitted the bonnet.... only to find the first & second su's foul on the bonnet frame & skin so out came the grinder & some enthusiasm and voila!
Cold air intake!

The list is getting smaller....

After some careful consideration, I've finally found the right look for my exhaust tips.....

Alrighty then,

With a clear head, welder & some mandrel bends of 2 1/2" tube I set to work on the exhaust.
Not a biggie. Flange, 2 x 45 degree bends, some straight pipe & a straight through muff, I think it should do the trick.
Did a trial fit (stoked), made up a rear hanger and gave it a coat of pot belly black.

Not much left on the list now,
Engine oil
Trans oil
Coolant, and a bloody temp gauge fitting that I can't find....
