Nice Jonesy.

Calculator puts it at [email protected] for the 1/4 without gas. Impressive.

Cheers fellas.
I thought it was a descent enough effort for its first time outing.

Mic, I have a plan....
Ok, so being so close to potentially knocking on the door of an 11 second pass I'll continue on with the 1 3/4" su's for now.
I'll look at getting a better set of rear tyres, maybe some slicks, as I think the Hoosier's were an old set & really needed a big burnout to get them to grip. And they have some small cracks already in the sidewalls....
I need to get a tacho that works, to replace the cheap rubbish I bought off the net. I had to run the whole weekend without watching the revs coz the tacho shit it's pants while on the trailer Friday morning.... not happy.
And I'll sort something out to log the air/fuel readings, because do you think I could remember to look at it going down the strip 10 times....??
Not sure if my innovate gauge can do it, I'll have a look.
I could change the type of fuel I put in it too, we'll see, so I got a few things to work on before I throw my 2" su's on.
I take my hat off to these guys running 11's & under with n/a Holden 6's, it's not the easiest thing in the world to do. And after copping mega disappointment running the EH down the 1/4 it looks promising getting half descent numbers out of the Beemer at an early stage.

Life has just begun.

They were 26.5 x 8 x 15 radials, and $190ea rings a bell.

I closed my eyes for a second during the burnout and just listened to the symphony, I had a faint twinge where im sure I could smell the rubber breifly.

Thank you.

God dammit that thing is mint.

The tyre smoke out of the fuel filler is the cherry on top of the pudding methinks.

I so want another E30 now....

Here's the in car footage, a little wobbly but that's what you get!

https://youtu.be/1-HBd8RCChU

First run of the weekend, wheelspin, knocking exhaust, hitting limiter, not running right, and a 6.9 sec falcon.

Those tyres are hooking up ok,they aren't turning, convertor is a little "tight" without a spray.

Warren it was about a 50/50 split of 10 runs when it hooked up or didn't. If I used the converter at all it would wheel spin like crazy, so had to just leave at idle, or if the burnout wasn't long enough it would do the same.
And no gas on any of those runs.

You might have to make adjustments to the suspension so that It'll hook up all the time. The track appeared to be prepped.
