We have at least 1 hatch riding in the convoy and he is going solo at present.
Pick you up from Melbourne airport on the Thursday morning :)

Travelling up Friday or Thursday Daz  :dontknow:

 

We should be at Maccas South Goulburn at 9am Friday or going past Boorowa Turn Off just south of Yass about 8am if you are thinking of joining up with our group

 

Then about 11'ish at the truck stop on the M7 ( Westlink) at Sidineeee we meet up with the Sidineeee fellas and gals

Being a little slack and not reading back thru the 11 pages, has anyone come up with any idea on ID on forum members car, and catching up on the day, assuming there will be a hoot of a crowd?
I haven't done my entry as yet but will be going, staying in Newcastle with family

Good stuff Daz, the Boorowa turn off (on left) is before the exit to Maccas at Yass on the Hume and there is a parking area straight after that turn off so if you are not there, we will be at Maccas south Goulburn at 9

I suggested writing our forum user name in the corner of the windscreen etc with a white texta or something similar. Doing so would make a lot of the stuff we post about more relevant.

So it looks like there could be up to 30+ Toranas driving up from Melbourne / Victoria in a convoy on the Thursday. Meeting spot is at 10.30am at the BP servo just past Glenrowan northbound on the Hume Hwy. I expect a lot will meet up in Melbourne and then roll into the servo together.

As per Barry (pops SS) advice a few pages back, we had planned to join up with the boys from Canberra region who are leaving on Friday morning so our bunch will probably all stay near Yass. My question is, does anyone know where and what time the ACT club is meeting for their run to toranafest and if they want to join up with us guys? Same goes for the Sydney crew. I'd like to put a bit of a timeline together for the run to allow people to jump on/off and to plan their trips.

Would be pretty awesome to get a convoy of 50 or 60+ cars rolling into town together on the Friday arvo to signal the start of the Fest...

I'm beginning to think I need to jump on board with the trip up from Melbourne. I feel that if don't go I will be really missing out.

Is the Fest Saturday and Sunday, or just Saturday? If both days, can someone fill me in on the Sunday's events? Thinking I may have to leave to be home for Monday morning.

My next problem is which car. If I bring the Hatch I will drive it up. If I bring the small Torana I would trailer it.
I want to drive up, but I think I want the small one when I get there. What to do.............

Thanks Gene. Seems if I'm going to go, Monday is the trip home.
Need to do some more homework and organising home side I think.

Are most coming home Monday, or going through Bathurst and extending the trip?
