The Canberra Torana Club is heading up Friday leaving Canberra at 7;45 at Goulburn at 8;45 to meet up with the Victorian crew on to Sutton forest about 10;00 on to twin sevo's at tuggrah on M1 at about 1;00 on to mottofarm at 2;00 see you all then cheers Loz

Just rang Motto.

A 'family' room for 3 ppl on fri/sat/sun is $920!

I know the carpark will be full of quality vehicles, but when did Motto turn 5 star?

just looked at the following weekend.... the family room is available through expedia for $540 for the three nights (Friday, Sat, Sun).

Col was just quoted $920. ? how does that work ?

I believe the price includes the tail light drinks Friday, breakfast Sat/Sun/Mon and Meet 'n Greet Dinner Saturday night

Basically they are charging per person for each room and for the above per person

My room was $615 and is a twin share ie $307.50 each and that was for Frid/Sat/Sun nights and all of the above included

Not sure what would happen if you do not want to have any of the above omitted

When you break it down its not that expensive
considering just a room in Sydney would be $200 a night

$720 for 3 ppl for 3 nights, but because the room sleeps 4 there is another $180 charge for the empty bed.

All that is included... including Security!

FFS it's the ONLY Hotel in the Region that can take that amount of people and that amount of cars, trailers, etc.

And really! where the frockl are you going to see that many "Torana" VIP's for $40??

Hire the 4th bed to a lady of the night. Get a cut of her earnings. Could and up paying for your entire trip

Or fair chance I will have enough of Gene by Friday afternoon so I will donate the 180 and throw his ass in the 4th bed just for some piece and quiet :stirpot:

Hi all,

Firstly, I would like to say a big thanks to Steve Harvey. He is bringing a car from WA which is just under 9,000km round trip.

WOW there is a dedicated bloke.

I will be catching up with Steve at Toranafest about his adventure.

Only a couple of sleeps to go so all that are leaving in the next day or so please drive carefully and make sure your cars and you get to Toranafest in 1 piece. Geez we will be helping rid the world of Fossil fuel over the next week or so!!! LOL .

The Saturday cruise will be an awesome sight. We are expecting near 175 + Toranas for this cruise. :driving:

PLEASE STOP AT THE STOP SIGN WHEN LEAVING MOTTO FARM MOTEL!!!!!

Also if you are a driver don't forget the driver briefing at 2:15 prior to leaving Motto farm at 2:30.

There will be 6 HVTC members that will help you park in the grounds of Closebourne House Morpeth.

It will be a good opportunity for you all to walk down to historic Morpeth Village about a 3 minute walk and have a look.

The HVTC has had to leave a substantial bond to ensure we do not damage the grounds. I know you all will respect this.

With this many cars in convoy we needed to inform the local police. So please keep this in mind.

When entering Maitland Showground ALL Entrants Please use the RHS.

If you are trailering a car, please enter via the LHS as the LHS will be for trailered cars/ spectators/ public and market stall holders.

If you are trailering a car you will be directed where you can park and unload your car. HVTC members will show you the way.

Lions club will be directing public parking. Hunter Valley Torana Club will be directing Entrant Parking.

Please be patient as we have laid out a great plan however this is our first time at this venue.

Upon parking make your way to the registration area in the pavilion and register for your goody bag etc.

And don't forget your dog food for Dog Rescue Newcastle!!!!! :clappin:

Looking forward to catching up with you all if not at either the Tail lights Function, the Cruise . the Dinner function or at Toranafest itself.

We have received a number of requests with regards to ordering T shirts and posting them to people. Unfortunately at this stage, we will not be doing this as it creates a heap of work for us. If you are at Toranafest you can buy as many shirts as you want. so

Yes Adam, all of that stuff is included in the price ie breakfast Sat/Sun/Mon, tail light drinks (and I suppose nibblies) on Friday night and the Toranafest Dinner where you will have the celeb guests giving a little chat on their Torana lives

Anyone can make it cheaper by taking in a boarder, I did with having Rob350 and son in my unit as Gary is not coming up from Melbourne, otherwise it would have been expensive for me
