Hey All,

I am over trying to find a Auto brake pedal for my LX so my question is, has anyone converted a manual brake pedal to a auto style.

I have had a look and I should only need to straighten the pedal slightly for clearance of the larger pad which i will retrofit, but I am not sure if straightening the pedal will make it too long in overall length.

any help would be very much appreciated, thanks guys

Funny you say that as I was doing my dynamat I noticed mine has been converted. Someone had welded a full size brake pedal over the small pedal.

I could take a photo later on.

I've done them in the full sized Holdens before by just changing the pedal pad (welding one over the top works too, but may need to trim the rubber cover a little)

I could be wrong, but I thought the pedal face was off centre to the arm. This would be to give clearance to the accelerator pedal. Unless the arms on the two brake pedals are different.
May want to get someone to post a photo of an auto pedal to be on the safe side

You can move it over quite a way before its placing too much twisting stress on the pedal arm

Looks to be the same pedal arm length, just the manual pedal is bent further over toward the accelerator pedal.

The left hand edge (looking at the back of the pedal) seems to be on the same line for both when sitting them on top of each other.
