I'm looking at doing the same, where did you locate it? In the forward right corner?

At the front, slightly offset to the drivers side, the deepest part of the tank.
You will need to bend the original pickup tube slightly to move it out of the way. Blank it off as well as it is no longer needed.

sorry lads, got caught up with work, more pics available if more info needed, as you probably cant see in these pics, when i drilled the hole to fit the pump, the breather tube runs to the back of the tank (i didnt realise this before i got carried away with the hole saw, a block of wood was used to knock it across 10mm or so so i could fit the mounting plate from inside the tank. other than that it was a piece of piss, i didnt require bending my sender tube in my case though. will add some pics of my build progress to my other post.

Awesome,
wondering how you go with the clearance between the tank and underside of the boot.

I run a in Phantom intank setup also.
I bonded some 25mm thick rubber style strips to the tank (Strips are made from a slightly compressable material like they use for a gym floor)
Works ok. It does impact the position of the fuel filler a little though.

I used 2 pieces of 25mm RHS to space my tank down for clearance. Sika'd them to the top of the tank with some insertion rubber between them and the floor. You will also need to modify the straps. I cut my filler tube and used a piece of rubber pipe and a couple of clamps to add about 25mm to the length. You can't see the join.
