However these are no longer available new and most places don't have the rebuild kits anymore either as Goss has stopped making them.
I have located a supplier of the rebuild kits for the original AC DELCO pumps, but these kits are quite expensive. When I looked on ebay there's plenty of AC DELCO kits available for various models and decades which are about half the price of the type for our 202 's.
So what I want to know is if anyone knows whether any of the other kits are compatible with the pumps we're using, they appear to be very similar.
Are we just paying a premium price because they are being sold to suit a Torana?

Hi James
I think its more the fact that Goss no longer make the rebuild kit for them that has pushed the price up.
Just keep looking, not so much EBay tho.
I only picked up a genuine AC delco rebuild kit including the glass bowl for one of these on Gum Tree about 2 months ago for $50, so they are out there at reasonable prices.
It maybe more being in the right spot at the right time.

This bloke does a really good overhaul kit AND its ethanol proof.
Top dollar @ $112, but if you want insurance against ethanol eating the old style rubber diaphragms, its the way to go.

Apparently when GOSS stopped making the rebuild kits the rest of the stock was bought up by a few people and the price went through the roof as they are holding us all to ransom.
The kits that are available seem to be more comprehensive than the kits available for other models, so I guess that helps justify the price slightly.
Is the top clamping part meant to be gold zinc plated?

I just measured the Chevy 292 Cam fuel pump lobe, and compared it to the Holden red 6 one,
almost an identical match, even the bolt hole spacing is the same.

Fuel inlet and outlet wrong position
There's probably no reason why you couldn't unscrew the top and rotate it 180 degrees or whatever is needed.
Dave, I'm not looking for a nos pump as I've seen a few sell for ridiculous prices lately and for that sort of money I could rebuild a couple even with the over priced kits. Even if you did buy a nos pump it would still probably need a kit put through it to be compatible with modern fuel types.

The top of the pump can be installed so the fuel inlet and outlet are in any location you want.
AFAIK the bowl hold down clamp should be gold zinc.
No changes to the pump are necessary to use unleaded fuels, don't know about ethanol though..

I also heard a rumour that you can fit the top of the glass bowl pump on the top of the commodore type pump. The guy who told me this said he hasn't tried it himself but was told it can be done. I didn't have a spare one here to try, so it's yet to be proven.

I just had a look at some pictures of the commodore type pump and I think there's potential to the glass bowl on top of one. That could be cheaper than a rebuild kit if it works.
Has anyone got a few spare pumps they could try this with?

Hey Guy's,
Found this Site, where the rebuild kit includes the Chevy 292, and the Holden 202, just for reference,
also I read in another forum, that the bowl part is interchangeable with other lower pump bodies,
so we could add a bowl to a non-bowl pump say.
Looks like us in the know, don't have to pay through the nose after all.

Unfortunately the rebuild kit says it's out of stock, it might be worth giving them a call though.
I've noticed that some of the rebuild kits don't include the oil seal which probably makes these kits a waste of time.

I think I remember them just sitting there, and place the valves opposite ways to each other.
Has anyone with experience got any tips on removing the valves from the top cover and refitting them. I just thought I'd ask before I hack into them.
