I sort of don't mind the stripe on the LC I think the pin stripes & it's position closer to the front helps it a bit. 

Also looks like it turns & goes back towards the windscreen so would be a two piece stripe.

very similar to the bonnet stripes on the Chev Camaro of the period

Looks bloody terrible if you ask me although I do like the ones on the Camaro's.

LC looks great - better than normal IMO.  If I had an LC and was doing it up, this would be the look I'd go for.

 

That Pink LJ looks terrible though.   :furious:

Way back when I had my metallic bronze EK hotted up ute (wish I still had that one  :cry:  ) I had a wide and thinner black stripe across the bonnet with then yellow on the outside of the stripes and to me looked neat

 

Back then I called them "Bumble Bee" stripes and by memory which is forever dimming, I think was about 1968

 

It had Doe-hide upholstery and some years later when I was walking along the charging-floor of No.2 Open Hearth at the Port Kembla Steelworks, I glanced inside a contractors welders EH ute that was there, and there inside was my Doe-hide upholstery in a dirty grubby workers car  :cry:

 

No doubt, who ever bought my ute had written it off
