Dear Torana friends,

i ordered a Ford 9" rear end in Australia.

Now i need some information what sway bar would fit to the 9" .

I found a info here that the KMAC UC Torana sway bar would fit with a 9" diff.

A the KMAC website is a interesting adjustable "Bathurst " rear swaybar  and i womder if this would be the right one.

Any hint is welcome.

Uwe

I have a rear mount kmac adjustable bar on the rear of my car (9" and drop tank as well) quality of the Kmac stuff is pretty crap and I was very unhappy with what I got for the cost. Should have made some custom setup myself in hindsight.

I ended up remaking all of the mounting and adjustment hardware on mine and having the bar sandblasted and powdercoated as well.

The K-MAC and Whiteline UC style front mount rear swaybars can both be fitted to a 9", you just need to order them with u-bolts and brackets to suit the 9". The UC style swaybars are not adjustable.

The K-MAC rear mount rear swaybar "Bathurst Style" is adjustable from underneath the car.  The rear mount swaybar does not leave much room for an exhaust on a street car. The K-MAC swaybar designs are better than the Whiteline but the quality control is non-existant.

You will find pictures of the K-MAC and Whiteline swaybars here.

If you really want an adjustable sway bar and money is no object then I would be looking at getting a knife blade style made mounted in a similar manner to the UC style sway bars. The Clarke Hopkins Torana has blade swaybars. The blade swaybars can be adjusted from within the cabin whilst driving.
