seems as car tunnel and side start to be bit messy with folds/brakelines directly below the (rather widely spaced) rails,
..have to bring holes/bolts inwards an about 3 inches, at rear ends, to mount to the floor.
used 3mm square, and 5mm flat for backing plates/captive nut
neatened front mounts
hacked off rear mounts
prepared mounts
trial mount begins
shows how much longer front inner bolt needs to be, to reach under car floor to captive nut/plate
doesn't interfere with foot space very thankfully.
about a 1/3 finished, but getting there

and "K O" transmission prefix
===VB Commodore (Series 3 Trimatics):===
KO 253 (4.2L) V8
..still don't know it it runs, as is. one day will soon hopefully.

the open walled barn find look mecho!.. complete with loose hay bales for added ground ruffidge!!
cheers shiney! i'll tell you it felt good just rolling it around again, can't imagine what it's like to jump in and drive!
bit dusty in pics above. gave it a wipe with micro fibre cloth, and took some pics at "magic hour", will put up.
not washing her properly till glass in. (well, that's my excuse for being slack anyways!)

Don't wash it until you you can drive it. Otherwise you will end up with water trapped in all sorts of places and the rust monkeys will be hard at work.
I can't remember if your paint was enamel, but a weekend rubbing it back with wet and dry and a good polish will make your paint stand out.

cheers shiney, didn't think of that. (hadn't water washed it due to it not having glass or rubber kit, so lucks a fortune!)
am looking forward to the rubbing back and polish. normally an odd thing to say! but hopefully get to see it in full vigor
and, frOck. so i put in the shocks today
told they are for lowered and standard.
they raised the car/front another cm!?? lowered... not really! arghh!
am looking out for shocks like the ye old ones in pic, tiny monroe riders.. or alike

Well there's ya problem... you've done it backwards... you're supposed to take the big pedal OUT and put the two smaller ones IN!

hahaha would be a lot of peoples preference suspect, Andrew
and gene, don't come along with common sense after my hours of idiocy

(just a heads up, if anyone else is planning to put cheap webco shocks in... make sure you have UC lower control arms, which have the wider opening. or else you are going to have to take whole fooking suspension apart to install or replace shockers... or?? have to cut hole bigger! shocks are WIDE!)
