Below is a prototype Hydraulic Auto Lifting Car Body Rotisserie for $500 i designed.

not sure how it works in practice, but here's the design anyways.

mainly came about wondering how to lift body onto rotisserie stands if i came up with a rotisserie, (without busting a poop valve that is)

hope helps, or even inspires better design,

cheers :)

Hi livo74,
The rotisserie I bought had the hydrolic rams so it was a bolt up and lift. Poopa valve intact.
Cost about $660 but have gone up in price now.
You need to have ways of locking the car at different rotation angles.
Thanks for sharing your ideas.

howdy sibhs

hydrolic rotisserie for anywhere near $660 i couldn't find, so is reason i came up with this for me to use.

glad you had it i imagine :)  (lifting, or repeatedly jacking chocking jacking etc would suck compared)

have seen the various 'cog' designs etc on the net, but wanted to keep it cheap and easier (for me) to make

figured people would have there own ways to do it so i didn't think to add.

(ways i'd considered were maybe hanging chain from roof and attach to car at certain length that holds angle requested,

or jack stands, or a chock of wood or two or.. etc )
