I sure its only speculation I heard on a "drive show" a few years back when they visited the bowdens that there was an estimated value on peter brocks 79 Hatch of approximately 3.2mil. I know vehicles like the 79 Hatch are difficult to put a price on but I would be interested to know what a true valuation of this car would be if it would be put up for private sale.
It looks like that question will be answered soon.

I remember the day the Bowdens picked up the 79 hatch in 1999 at Phillip Island and they paid $150,000 for it and everyone was saying it was too much. Try getting a road A9X for that today....

Sounds like a Bargain these days Mick, The Mad Max Interceptor (1973 XB GT Coupe) Sells for $75,000 and moves to England to the Cars of The Stars Museum and spent years there and later on he was asking One Million Australian $$$$$$$$$$ for it, never sold, but then he sells all the Cars at the Museum to the Dezer Collection Auto Museum in the USA.
Will get Priceless as time goes on the MM Interceptor.

No everybody has 1/2 a mil spare
Not everybody, but last year I went to clients place and he had a Merc worth well over half a million dollars and
he uses it, as he said,
"for a bit of fun, I take it out to Eastern Creek and Wakefield on club days only" !!!!!
There are people willing to spend lots of money to have some fun or just for bragging rights.
You wouldn't believe the type of cars I see in peoples garages.
Good luck with the sale.
