Even the warneford manifolds with the kicked outside runners flow well after a few small tweaks.
The air is moving so slow through the two runners that the bends don't affect outright flow much.
My best weber manifold, a marshals intake with the divider kicked back an inch drops 3cfm on a 212cfm cylinder head.

So cut back an inch at manifold to head face ! What does this do ? Does it improve things ? thanks

Its allowing the air to straighten out from the runner on the other side of the port.
No back to back testing on an engine unfortunately

3cfm for half hours work is pretty huge really.....Particularly on a 212 cfm head....

Hi Datpsi., when purchasing your manifold be careful to check the casting carefully as manifolds can vary in thickness and quality greatly. I bought one a while ago and after looking hard at it there was no meat in it to allow for porting and matching work. I returned it and explained why. Ended up with a redline one. nice thick casting around mount bolts/studs, nice wall thickness to allow for porting and clean up. Tip. mark out manifold to head and drill for 2 small roll pins on front and rear ports to enable perfect alignment every time it's fitted. get help if not confident with this. good luck.
