Another greenmachine to add to the streets. Love it and will watch with interest. Go the greenmachines :-)
So no blackouts at all? I just did them to mine as per LX SLR. Transformed the car entirely.

I guess you bought the green meanie off Jason ( Likatiger ) a forum member. I remember commenting on the body & paint on the car.......super nice
Great score with the 9" diff and two centre's for $1200 bucks mate.

It looks like the diff you have has been built using the Torana upper arm mounts and has McDonald Bros adjustable upper arms. The McDonald Bros adjustable upper arms bind on the Torana upper arm mounts about 2" before the diff hits the bump stops.
You should either modify the arms and mounts so they don't bind or replace the upper arm mounts.
This picture shows the arms binding when the diff hits is about 2" off the bump stops.
This picture shows the difference in the range of movement between the Torana upper arms and the McDonald Bros adjustable arms on a standard Torana diff.
This picture shows a 9" with HQ trailing arms used for upper arm diff mounts. The HQ trailing arm mounts do not bind on the McDonald Bros adjustable arms. It was common practice to use HQ trailing arms instead of re-using the Torana mounts
Some people have notched the upper arm for clearance.
It would also be worth checking that the swaybar does not bind on the diff housing throughout the full range of suspension travel. Usually the mounting points on the lower trailing arms need to be moved backwards so the swaybar clears the back of the 9".

I remember the old thread now and how I thought that it is a seriously great colour.
What a great stage to get a project at, have fun mate. Great choice on rims too, although even those hot wires would look pretty sweet on that.
Do you know any engine details?
