i have a heap of Lc grille badges, but i have one that uses same emblem and main body is same dimensions but it designed to sit flat not around grille profile. I cant seem to find a pic of what its off, definitely not LC 6cyl maybe 4cyl ?? or something from the H series. anyone know.

If the insert in the 4 cyl emblem is in better nick can your remove it and put it into the 6cyl emblem?

Not fussed about emblem just buy repro, the housing itself is mint. Actually thinking of getting out the grinder and finger belt sander and turning it into a 6cyl one.

Ahhh, I thought you meant the insert was in better nick. Why not get one of your LC 6cyl emblems rechromed rather than grinding/cutting/filing the 4 cyl emblem to fit the 6cyl grille.

^^^ OK. It's only diecast alloy so shouldn't be too hard to do. Watch out for the chrome on any cut edges, It can be sharp.

You may also find the chrome becomes compromised at the cut edges and will fail with the passage of time and exposure to the weather.

Have fun

Cheers

Dave.
