Other than, just to get a bit on topic, the 179 badges seem a bit thin,as well as the early 253 v8 with the flag and whatever that made the "V" on some of the "early ones",don't know if the 308 was same but i gave one away years ago to someone who had the 253 version....stupidity at the fore again to help someone that needed one...

The GTR-X had stickers for the Tappet cover and side guards, and a round holden emblem badge on bonnet and hatch boot:-
and so the 202-X tappet cover sticker is the rarest.

I've got a huge badge collection, as well as having all known badges on an Excel database, so here goes.
If we're talking about production Holdens, then the rarest would probably be early Tri-Matic badge only seen on the boot lid of early LC Torana autos.
Second would be the gold 'Brabham' badge off the front guards of Series 1 HB Toranas.
After that would be the 'Statesman' badge fitted the the instrument facia of HQ (non-Deville) Sttatesmans.

I have a couple of boxes of badges, hadn't considered people collected them.
pretty sure there is a Trimatic badge on the boot of a LC at the farm, that was unusual for me as it had a bench front seat,
only time I have seen one
Could make me a small fortune on feebay

What about the HQ 'Silver Anniversary' C pillar emblem. There wouldn't be too many of those floating around these days?

So Rob, was this the badge used on the EK? prelude to the Premier released on the Ej model? If so, my money's on this being the rarest production badge anyone can come up with.

Super Special. That would have to have been the 1st Holden SS?

The badge that was to go on the HK coupes on the C-pillar, you see it on the spy shots of the yellow coupe at Lang Lang, and also the really early HK coupe shells (only the 1967 shells and the first few dozen production shells) have holes cutout inside to mount the nuts at the back. I think it looks like the badge on the HK ute pillars but I've never seen one close as only a couple were made and only the spy shot images give a clue as to what it was.

But that badge wasn't used in production, to my knowledge.

Not that one, that's the common HG/LJ/HQ type & it has the part number 2817175.
The much more rare early LC type, incorporates a triangle in its design & it has the part number 2807841
