Cool Thank's
i will have a look in my other box's
Not that one, that's the common HG/LJ/HQ type & it has the part number 2817175.
The much more rare early LC type, incorporates a triangle in its design & it has the part number 2807841

Then I discovered ebay.
Sold off all the good ones and bought a small island in the Bahamas with the proceeds.

As well as the NASCO & Holden Service badge I have thes on the same cap
Those are not rare but the HDT badge I believe is some what hard to get
BUT I picked up another one on evilbay and should be arriving soon
Bit spooky but was only talking to one of our club member about hat/cap badges and showed him that cap and mentioned the HDT badge
Said I got it off a stall holder at the Cherry festival in Young 'bout 6 years ago and the seller said he had no more and had seen no more around
It has "MADE IN NEW ZEALAND" on the back of which I thought was a bit odd
It was only the very next night I spotted the same badge on evilbay
Got the first one for $25 off the stall holder and $26 ($31 posted) for the next one
That's too much of a coincidence

You have been waiting six years for it to show up off ebay?
Based on production numbers this one is a front runner.

Depending on the source both had build numbers in the mid 130s.
