I actually stuffed up my last replay, should be HD-HT as the only HG with a powerglide was GTS350.

I just checked Byron, the 253/308 Powerglide also comes in 2 versions, column shift & console shift, for the same reason as the 6.

 

SBC V8 Powerglides have only the one lever type in Holden applications.

and was too late to change it.

Can you guys see the rectangle block
In front of the selector.what is that
Is it something to do with kickdown?

Mechanical kickdown. These use a linkage setup rather than a cable like a TH350.
