I would love to see the number plates on the WA promo L34.

Not sure if this is the same one (this is Canberra)

Do you know when that photo was taken? It is SL/R but not L34, however they did use the Globe style wheels on the L34 rally car (as well as GTS) and those tyres look like they are for rally as well. I wasn't aware of an SL/R 5000 rally car though, and I haven't seen those number plates before.

Not sure if this counts for this thread, but yesterday after the Bathurst race,my 7 year old daughter came running to me saying Craig Lowndes had beaten Peter Brocks record, she was not happy.Anyway i explained it was he had made it to the podium more times, even if he came 3rd he would have the same acknowledgement.Which is a great achievement !
I explained to her Peter Brock had won the race more times than Craig, she was so happy and ran off, anyways i,m thinking, how does she even know about Peter Brock,i have never talked to her about him,we only have two Torana pictures on wall,XU1 and A9X with small writing on them, about Peter. She did say a few weeks back that she was talking to the boys at school saying that Peter Brock was the best.
Makes me happy that the young ones know about him,and he lives on in the new generation.

A replica then, surely.

A replica then, surely.
More likely a promo car doing the rounds of dealer openings and events.
Not really sure how many there were.

But GMH wouldn't be parading an LH in 1977.That car is sporting 74 number plates

Actually they probably were.
The A9X didn't eventuate until Sept. 77, so any 'racecar' displays would've been L34 or LH look-a-likes.
The LX sales brochure for the SLR & SS shows the L34 racing on its front cover.

You would think they would have whacked in a set of round headlights by then though.

2 videos I rescued of an old VHS of mine. I have another of Brocky in Sports Sedans at Ruapuna as well but would only let me post 2
Also I want to pass on 1 x 1/18 #28 limited edition Classic Carlectable which was slightly damaged in the Christchurch earthquake (Bumper corner) broke, still have the part, it has never been out of the box apart from photos. I would prefer someone here take it and appreciate it. I have not glued it as I don't want to make it worse and just sat it on it to take some pics (below the videos)
