Again I could be wrong but I think rear belts were only standard on top of the range models?

Your car had rear belts from memory.

May have gone to Marty's masterpiece I think.

No idea if they were original or not, but I suspect not.

My 69 Gtr only had centre seatbelt in back, holes were there on the sides filled in with plastic cap no nut.

Though hard to say for certain as rarely saw a 69 model..always liked to double check they only had 2 tags.

Release is the official release. There are always cars built for up to many months prior to the release of the vehicle.

Thank you Byron.

I was thinking about the 6/70 built XU1's when I made that post but thought no need to single them out for a special mention as we are talking about the release date not the date the first examples were manufactured.

Fact or Fiction. The closest thing to an L34 that Brocks co driver for Bathurst '74 had driven was a Toyota Celica.

The early cars of a series are called restricted production iirc. Not sure what you'd call the first production examples of a mid-series release like the LC XU1 or HQ SS or HQ Sandman though. They are probably simply the first production examples.

The first production LC XU1's were a new variant of the existing LC 82911 model but I don't know what would be the best terminology to describe them.

Yes, the same as HQ Sandman, just variant of an existing model (well 6 x models in this case). Agree, not sure what you'd call them other than "the first production examples".

Ficton, Holden didn't make it by mistake.

The assembly line workers made it on purpose. It got as far as the trim line before it was discovered.
