The TT36 was the last Torana,

 

and still didn't make it,

 

I wonder what Car stopped it.  :furious:

True, it just didn't look or feel like a torana to me, I do like the VE commy though which bears some resemblance

To my memory the TT36 was the platform that grew into the VE Commodore ...  

 

And I gotta agree with Jas, if it was Black, with a "Normal Looking" interior it would of looked shit hot..   Hard to look at it and automatically think Torana though...    I think Torana should always remain a small car,  RWD, or 4x4 twin turbo is fine by me also...  

 

A real tall order to make a remake of a classic...   For my pallet  ;) ...   If you parked an XU-1, SLR-5000, A9X along side anything else made since they still look pretty stylish.  Even against some of the Worlds Classic cars in my opinion..  The Lambo Contach is but ugly..      anyway my point is, they would have to do it right, and to do that it would be a very expensive project, that know one may like...    Everything comes to an end..  To have a life worth living,  is far more important than dying...    And Torana had a life that not many cars ever came close too ..   RIP Torana Program ..  :(

The Holden Cruze has been produced at Elizabeth since March 2011 and has more than 50% Aussie content.

For what it's worth the Cruze is Aussie made. PM Julia Gillard drove one off the Elizabeth production line. After all the Fed Govt had given Holden millions of $ to bring production of the Cruze to Oz so at least she got some publicity value for her investment.

What was the TT36 based on, a Vauxhall?

If so is this not keeping with the original lineage? (TA=Vauxhall)

Sure the colours were out there but so were some of the colours in the 70's.
