Ando,

That is a very good looking engine,

what is the braided line in the valley? Cam shaft oil feed?

Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom,

Yes that's correct..the motor has oil priority feed & drain back mods for some spirited circuit driving..

The engine build is on Aussie V8 forum http://www.aussiev8....eet-engine.html

Cheers Ando

A mighty 1293cc, but with the turbo it's about 170 or so hp. In a mini it's pretty quick.

Ryan,

I haven't added the full cost up but it was lot more than a Holden EFI style head stroker & probably more than twice the cost to build a stroked sb Chevy..

The YT-3 heads, porting & valve train assembly was a very expensive path but happy to be a little different..

It's an engine combo I had in my head for years & the early head style suits the Torana so that what's mattered to me.. Definitely not a build for the budget minded.. lol

It's never cheap.
The Holden 383 I had built in 2001 cost me $13000. Plus the $6K when I went to a hydraulic roller cam and COME alloy heads in 2007.
The upside of doing it properly is that it's still going strong all these years later.
