I don't think there would be much change out of 30k on that 372 buy the time it's up and running. Looks sexy.

Hey Oldjohnno,

 

 that did give me a smirk too, as I love the noises like tribal drums.

 

Anyhow, reminded me of the 4 foot diametre pistons of the Virginian Steam train, but this is not steam.

90 foot long boiler and 10 foot in diametre, and pulled 18000 tons of coal, biggest steam engine ever:-

the last picture could be when they did an overhaul in 1917,

 

 and the relief valve didn't work, which blew the boiler 72 feet ahead of the cars,

 

 and shot the 3 firemen 450 feet back.

 

Poor soles had to shovel 20 ton of coal an hour on the shift.

 

Maximum speed was 15 mph cause they were white metal bearings,

 

and ball bearings didn't come out till 1941.

listening to the 308 now Chris,
 nice and throaty
 gets the wind up from the fan to mic :)
 top quality show room
 now the 372
 a Marked difference in sound and acting
 sounds like she will leave the scene quickly
 should go in the Big Cams section too, he he
