Last year the spectators were able to drive inside and park
in the pit area where the race cars and support cars are.

I dunno what I'm bringing. Maybe the Torana...

Cool I thought so, they wouldn't be expecting that many spectators. I'll bring one of the cars then.

It's well worth the look. They are expecting over 40 entrants in the 9's or lower.
The stock looking VB above is packing a single turbo LS2, has ran low 9's. Such a sleeper

Looking forward to catching up tomorrow.
See you then

Good luck mate. Keep us posted where you can (it's not like you're in for a busy week or anything).

For all those rev heads who missed all the action at the first day of drag week. Here's Grants 2nd run which he ran a 12.4. He had a lot of improvement in him and hopefully he can report he broke into the 11's this afternoon.

Was great to see over 100 cars there today with some ridiculously quick cars. Fastest time we saw was 8.1 and we left at 2pm.

Was a great day of racing, heaps of LS1/turbo combos, some well under 10seconds. Some pretty cool torries including an orange lh slr running consistant 8's, not sure what type of engine combo. Not much to look at, but very quick, well built car indeed.Hard to believe these cars are street registered and have to drive 1500k's during the week. Check out street machine website, go to "Drag Challenge" link and see LS1 corona wgn destroy its engine. I must be getting old as owner looks like should still be at school today!. Well done Street Machine on running such a well organised and professional event that is only going to get bigger and bigger each year. Look forward to following the rest of the week on internet.

I heard over the megaphone at the track yesterday that a live stream can be watched of the drag racing. Click on this link for videos of some drags yesterday.

Bubba leads the way after Day 1! Got his 370 cube Holden powered VH running 8.0 @ 176. That's a massive improvement from where he was this time last year. I liked his car in the old matt black, but the new 2 tone paint job looks pretty sharp.

I'll be stuffed if I can find any live stream of anything. If someone does find it please post the link up here.

Bubba's car looks just like mine now except easily 3 seconds faster lol.

Kinda liked old matt black paint too which was better than when he had it red/silver with nappy pic of himself on side of car...

Tp block in it apparently.

Lol were you even there on Monday? He ran an 8.2, 8.1 and an 8.0 so I would say he knows what he's doing. Can't wait to see your car down the drag strip

Brett, what happened to Quentins car, didn't see it there Monday?

Sad to see 2 cars destroyed a Dart & gt by looks of pics...apparently ford was pulled over to check trailer when some gronk hit it 100km/h then legged it to get away fortunately cops caught said gronk.

Luckily nobody physically hurt.

This is the infamous Bubba (see photo). He's a very good friend of Deb and I. Can't wait to see him run a 7! It's funny, both he and Quentin have got stuck on 8.0.

Bubba is a top bloke. Many many years ago I entered the burnout comp at Easternats. Qualified 12th overall on Saturday, but didn't have tyres to participate in the finals on Sunday (hadn't planned to go in it). Good old Bubba ripped his wheels off his car that he'd driven there and donated to my cause! What a champ.

As for Quentin - he hurt the car earlier this year and wasn't able to fix it for Drag Challenge.

Has Grant hurt his hatchback?
