Hi Tony, happy to debate what constitutes an original stamping and pad...
But please don't insinuate I bought and sold a dodgy block... I honestly had no idea at the time.
Cutting to the chase, you mention the cast date of your pic... Does it align to save me looking ?
Assuming it does, any history on the stamp to ensure its the real deal ?

Adam,your block JP221396 was/is the real deal.

Adam, the 20m2 cast date on Tony's block is in perfect range for JP2812xx.
The engine number, what is visible, looks good.

Dunno mate, you tell me. Like I said earlier cast date aligned... Hence my reluctance to post what I consider an original stamping... With this one in particular, the origins are a red flag...
Perhaps the person you bought it from wasn't always dodgy as fr0ck?

Here's all of it. Oh, for interest sake, it's got a 3 cast on the other side...

^^This proves what? All Holden 6's are red?
So JP397912 appears to have an original engine number stamping and it is red. It doesn't mean all Holden 6's are red.
